KEEP YOUR FAMILY HEALTHY

A Trusted Dental Home for Your Family

Our approach to family dentistry

Lake Pointe Dental Group takes a concierge approach to dentistry. From the time you step into our practice, you will be warmly welcomed and cared for. Our team works hand in hand with you throughout your dental journey to help you achieve and maintain your healthiest smile. We proudly offer a comprehensive range of preventive and general dental treatments and empower our patients to make their own informed treatment decisions. We can then personalize each treatment plan based on the patient’s individual needs and goals. As a family dental practice, we also focus on providing helpful tips and tricks through patient education to help you and your family maintain healthy smiles in between dental visits.

Planning Your First Visit

A positive start to your dental journey

Lake Pointe Dental Group strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for all of our patients. Your first visit is a wonderful way to familiarize yourself with our practice, to meet our team, and to tell us if you have any dental concerns or questions. We aim to create a relaxing, positive atmosphere where you feel comfortable and confident in your dental journey. First visits are two-hour appointments that include a comprehensive evaluation, intraoral photographs, digital X-rays, an oral cancer screening, and a professional cleaning.

Preventive Care

The key to healthy smiles long term

Preventive care is essential for you and your family if you want to maintain healthy smiles long term. That means being proactive with regular dental cleanings, evaluations, and fluoride treatments. Early diagnosis helps you prevent minor concerns from escalating into complex and painful dental issues. But preventive care isn’t just about dental visits—it also extends to the home. Our team will gladly encourage you with advice and education so you can adopt healthy oral habits at home that will keep you smiling.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Natural-looking for a beautiful smile

Tooth-colored fillings are a natural-looking solution for repairing cavities and mild to moderate damage. Fillings replace the compromised tooth structure to provide stability and to help prevent further decay. Tooth-colored fillings are made from a composite resin material that is color-matched to blend in with your natural smile, making them the preferred alternative to traditional amalgam (silver) fillings. They are also better at shielding teeth from hot and cold sensitivity than amalgam fillings.

Root Canal Therapy

A gentle approach to resolving a painful tooth

Root canal therapy may be necessary if you have a tooth with inflamed or infected pulp, which is the soft tissue inside the tooth. This condition can happen if you have a deep cavity or if you’ve suffered a tooth-related injury. Damaged pulp can be very painful, and you may find the tissue around your tooth becomes swollen or that the tooth becomes sensitive to heat and cold. Root canal therapy treats the nerve by removing all of the damaged pulp and then cleaning and sealing the root canals. After you receive treatment from an endodontist, we then create a crown to complete the restorative process and protect the tooth from future cracks and decay. Root canal therapy effectively saves the tooth from extraction so you can enjoy a pain-free smile.

Dental Crowns

Restoring your damaged tooth back to brilliance

With a dental crown, Dr. Maddox can help restore a damaged tooth and provide much-needed strength. First, our team will take mess-free digital impressions to ensure precise imaging and the best possible crown fit. Then the lab will meticulously craft your new dental crown using those images and color-match it to look just like a natural tooth. Dr. Maddox will work her magic and permanently cement the crown in place to restore your brilliant smile.

Periodontal Therapy

Combat gum disease and improve your oral health.

We will recommend periodontal therapy if you are diagnosed with gingivitis or periodontitis. Maintaining healthy gums is an important part of oral health, so failure to treat gum disease can result in its progression and eventual tooth loss. Periodontal therapy targets and eliminates harmful bacteria by thoroughly cleaning above and below the gumline. This reduces pain and inflammation and helps your gum tissue heal so you can live a healthy life without tooth or gum pain.

Afford Your Care

At Lake Pointe Dental Group, we empower our patients to make their own informed decisions about dental treatments. They are not limited to choosing only options that their insurance will cover.
